MURDER BEFORE EVENSONG

Murder mystery drama, Murder Before Evensong, from the best-selling book series by the Reverend Richard Coles, launched on Acorn TV and Channel 5 in autumn 2025, becoming Channel 5’s biggest show of the year and the third biggest launch in Acorn’s history. Adapted by Nick Hicks-Beach, Matthew Lewis stars as Canon Daniel Clement, the Rector of Champton, who finds himself unexpectedly entangled in a murder case when a dead body turns up in his church.

Amanda Redman stars as Daniel’s mother Audrey, with Amit Shah as DS Neil Vanloo.

Based on the book ‘Scoops: Behind the Scenes of the BBC’s Most Shocking Interviews’ written by Sam McAlister, this is the story of BBC Newsnight’s bombshell 2019 interview with Prince Andrew about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Produced as a movie for Netflix, Scoop launched in April 2024 and stars Gillian Anderson as Emily Maitlis, Keeley Hawes as Amanda Thirsk, the former Private Secretary to Prince Andrew, Billie Piper as Sam McAlister, Romola Garai as Esme Wren, editor of BBC Newsnight, and Rufus Sewell as Prince Andrew.

Scoop launched as Netflix’s Number One UK film and reached the Top 10 in 56 countries. It was nominated for an Emmy (Outstanding Television Movie) and a Broadcast Award (Best Single Film). Billie Piper also received a BAFTA nomination for Leading Actress for her performance.

Courtney B Vance stars as Moses’ idealistic and charismatic attorney in this gripping thriller, which also features Tosin Cole and Aunjanue Ellis. Created and written by Peter Moffat and produced with AMC Studios for AMC.

MURMUR

Short film Murmur explores the relationship between a mum and her autistic daughter and their fascination with murmurations. Evie doesn't talk much, but she communicates with everything.

Starring Bronagh Waugh, Sienna Daly and Mark Lewis Jones. Written by Temi Oh, directed by Simon Smith and produced by Ed Feilden. Murmur was produced for Sky and the BFI.

Murmur won Best Short-Form Scripted at the 2024 Broadcast Digital Awards.
